Sculpture by Martha Jimenez will adorn the Cuban capital

Havana- The artist Martha Jimenez will present a sculpture in the current Biennial of Havana, the piece will be permanently located on the Avenida de San Francisco de Paula.

This authentic work of visual arts, entitled "Against the wind and tide" is an artistic gift for Cubans and visitors on our Island.

In the assembly of the aforementioned sculpture by Martha Jimewnez, worked a professional team, working in the last details of the piece, located in a central square of the Cuban capital.

Among the works of this sculptress that adorn public spaces, it is worth noting the sculptural set located in the Plaza del Carmen (Camaguey), her sculptures in the hotels Santa Maria and El Marques, and the pieces she has located in Turkey.

Jimenez Perez has more than 60 personal and collective exhibitions, at events held inside and outside of Cuba. This creative won the UNESCO Prize, for creativity, in the field of ceramic crafts (1997). She was awarded by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) for the sculptural group Plaza del Carmen.
