Exhibition dedicated to the Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods has work by Martha Jimenez

Camaguey- With the sculpture Open roads, the renowned artist Martha Jimenez participates in the collective exhibition "Reencuentros", to be inaugurated this Friday, October 26 at 2:00 pm, at the Ignacio Agramonte Provincial Museum.

The exhibition pays tribute to the 40th anniversary of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods and 30 years of the creation of its subsidiary in Camaguey.

"Gathering several generations of visual artists from Camaguey to celebrate the fifteen years of the Subsidiary of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods brings us closer to those who, with their work, are spokespersons for the aesthetic and conceptual validity of the projection of this entity in the city and country", expressed Annerys Fernandez Mendoza and Isabel Garcia Rosales in their words to the Catalog.

In addition to Martha Jimenez, the exhibition includes works by Jorge Santos Diaz, Nazario Salazar, Lorenzo Linares, Gabriel Gutierrez, Joel Jover, Oscar Rodriguez Lasseria, Orestes Larios and Alejandrina Silveira, among many other valuable creators of the territory, belonging to several generations.

"To approach their universes supported by the knowledge of their signs and signs, is to travel through decades of the art of those who, born or trained in Camaguey, trace the plot and warp of a good part of the art produced in these places, by those who, over three intense decades, manifest legitimacy from their artistic hierarchies", added the specialists.
